Trump Threatens EU Over Canada's Associate Membership Proposal

US President Donald Trump threatened heavy tariffs and warned that the US could cut some trade with Europe over Canada’s proposed associate membership in the EU. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU is opening the door for Canada to become an associate member.
